Media Player Settings

If you are using Windows Media Player 11 we recommend the following settings for the best performance.

Right click on the title 'Windows Media Player' in the upper left-hand corner, and select 'Tools' and then 'Options' from the drop-down menu.

On the first tab (Player) check the box that reads "Connect to the Internet (overrides other commands)".

Next, click on the tab at the top that reads "File Types ". Then click the "Select All" button to the lower right.

Now click on the "Apply" button at the bottom. This step makes the Windows Media Player the default player for all video files.

Next, click on the tab at the top that reads "Network". Uncheck the boxes that read "RTSP/UDP" and "Allow the player to receive multicast streams".

Next, click on the "Apply" button at the bottom and then the"OK" button, and close the Windows Media Player to finish.
